The San Antonio Riverwalk is one of the most diverse and well known areas of the city. The Riverwalk features shops, bars, restaurants, and the Arreson River Theatre.  The RiverWalk is also home to the historical Aztec Theatre which is currently a concert venue.  The Riverwalk is a great place to experience the area’s famous Tex Mex cuisine.

The San Antonio area is also full of historical sites.  The Alamo is one of San Antonio’s best known historical sites.  The Alamo was a Spanish mission that was the site of a pivotal battle in the Texas revolution.  Other notable historical sites in San Antonio include The Cathedral of San Fernando, the oldest cathedral in the U.S., the Majestic Theatre, built in 1929, the Spanish Governor’s Palace, and the Menger and Fairmont Hotels.

San Antonio is also home to some well known tourist attractions such as Six Flags Fiesta Texas, a 200 acre theme park, and Sea World, a 250 acre marine mammal park, oceanarium, and animal theme park.  The Tower of the America’s is a large observation deck, located at HemisFair Park. Other places of interest include the San Antonio Zoo, the McNay Art Museum, and the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park.

San Antonio is a great city for sports fans. This city is home to the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs, the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage, the WNBA’s Silver Stars, and the San Antonio Missions, the AA affiliate of the San Diego Padres.
